If at any time in the future your headphones fail, break, stop charging etc, we will send you a replacement. The following terms & conditions relate to the Bonus Extended Warranty on SoundWhiz products as manufactured by Whiz Technology Pty Ltd. When you purchase a SoundWhiz product you have the peace of mind in knowing that your product is already covered by our Standard 1 Year Replacement Warranty. When applying for Extended Warranty, you should also be aware of the following terms & conditions.
1. General Terms & Conditions
1.1 All benefits supplied to you under the SoundWhiz Extended Warranty Programme are in addition to other rights and remedies available to you under the laws and regulations of your region. Nothing in these terms should be taken as contradicting those terms, and you rights under consumer law are fully protected.
1.2 Extended Warranty is available for purchases made from any one of the following retail outlets: Amazon.com (Seller: Whiz Technology); Amazon.co.uk (Seller: WhizTech); soundwhiz.com; soundwhiz.co.uk; soundwhiz.com.au.
1.3 The Warranty only covers authentic Whiz Technology manufactured products and not fake or copied items. Purchased are traceable by Whiz Technology Pty Ltd
1.4 Extended Warranty covers the replacement of your SoundWhiz product in the event of failure of any part of function of the purchased SoundWhiz product, including failure to perform to the manufacturer’s stated standards during the warranty term. Such features may include call functions, charging, music playback, channel equality, transmission stability, waterproofing, case construction, volume and microphone, depending on your product.
1.5 The Free Extended Warranty programme offers the same coverage as the purchased Extended Warranty Service, with the following conditions:
1.5.1 The Extended Warranty is requested and approved within 30 days of the product purchase date as shown on your order.
1.5.2 Any Warranty claim is made while the recipient is a registered member of SoundWhiz USA, SoundWhiz UK or SoundWhiz Australia. Unsubscribing from SoundWhiz Membership Program will invalidate your Free Extended Warranty.
1.5.3 You can become a member by signing up for Extended Warranty, or by completing any of the membership forms on the soundwhiz web site, and subsequently confirming your subscription. Your subscription is confirmed once you have received a confirmation email from us.
1.6 Product Replacement means that in the event of a product failure, SoundWhiz will supply you with a direct replacement or equivalent product replacement at no additional charge to you, including postage. If the original product is out of stock or discontinued, SoundWhiz may offer you a replacement of equal or greater value.
1.7 SoundWhiz does not offer reimbursement if you decide you do not wish to accept the suggested replacement product at the time of claiming the extended warranty. A different product will only be offered if the model being claimed is no longer available.
1.8 Normally Replacements are processed within 5 business days. This timeframe may be extended during peak retail periods. Delivery is subject to delays out of our control such as weather, union protests that delay usual delivery time frames and no further claims can be made for lost, stolen deliveries that have been sent.
1.9 To make a claim under the Free Extended Warranty programme you will need to note the following contact addresses:
1.9.1 US customers : email email@example.com. UK customers :email firstname.lastname@example.org; Australia customers should email email@example.com.
1.9.2 You may be asked for your original order number or proof of purchase from a valid SoundWhiz service provider, and you will be required to state the issue and reason for your claim:
1.9.3 You may be asked to provide a photo of the defective unit
1.9.4 You may be asked to return the item. Product return will be arranged at the expense of Whiz Technology.
1.9.5 You may be asked to co-operate with trouble shooting before the claim is granted
2. Exclusions & Limitations
2.1 To the full extent permitted by law, but subject always to 1.1, the Extended Warranty will not apply:
2.2 To damage, malfunction or failure resulting from alterations, accident, misuse, abuse, fire, liquid spillage, charge on an incorrect voltage, power surges and dips, thunderstorm activity, acts of God, voltage supply problems, tampering or unauthorised repairs by any persons, use of defective or incompatible accessories, the operation of a computer virus of any kind, exposure to abnormally corrosive conditions or entry by any insect, vermin or foreign object in the product.
2.3 Failure to follow user instruction manual and general care guide
2.4 To any failure, to the extent that the failure is not a failure of the product to perform in accordance with its specifications.
2.5 If the item is stolen, misplaced, or lost.
2.6 Replacement under Standard Warranty does not constitute a revised ‘purchase date’ for the purpose of application for the Free Extended Warranty.
2.7 Free Extended Warranty does not apply to second hand products, or products purchased from an outlet or seller not listed in 1.2.
2.8 Whiz Technology reserve the right to change these conditions at any time. Changes made to the terms after your application will not impact on your coverage or our obligations to you.
